From writing his first computer program at 5 years old and writing his first poem soon after, to starting his first business at 16, Matt has had a passion for applying both art and technology to solve problems and improve others’ lives. After graduating with dual degrees in fine arts and the sciences, Matt progressed through a number of positions from software developer through development manager, and ultimately to Chief Technical Officer over a nearly 20 year career at Datalogics, leading products through initial and subsequent launches into market, leading managers and individuals, and establishing technical programs. Subsequently Matt went on to join AbleDocs, Inc. – first as chief system architect, then as VP of software development – building their development team and bringing training and mobile reading technologies to make digital information more accessible to the blind and those with visual and other impairments to market. Matt served as Chairman of the PDF Association, the leading PDF digital document trade and user association, from 2016 to 2022.
